1) Grand Bay Films Pty Ltd. – Seeking Australian Writers or Scripts Set in Australia
---------------

We are looking for completed feature-length, character-driven, offbeat scripts from Australian writers or scripts currently set in Australia. We are open to various genres. By offbeat, we mean scripts that are not TOO mainstream in their sensibilities and stories that focus on interpersonal relationships. The script should be “against the grain,” meaning that they should not be derivative and should reflect original spins on stories.
Budget will not exceed $5 million. Both WGA and Non-WGA writers may submit. We are only open to Australian writers at this time.
Our credits include “The Coca-Cola Kid” and “Storyville.” Earlier this year, we optioned a script from an Australian writer through InkTip.

Budget will not exceed $1 million. WGA and non-WGA writers may submit.

We are looking for completed feature-length adaptations of well-known literary classics and/or fairy tales with dogs as the main characters. Only live-action, NO animation. This is a very narrow mandate, but it is important that it MUST focus around a dog starring in a well-known fairy tale. In other words, as if “Beverly Hills Chihuahua” starred in Cinderella or Moby Dick.
Budget is open. Both WGA and Non-WGA writers may submit.

We are looking for completed feature-length character-driven rom-coms with young protagonists. The characters should be in their 20’s, such as in “500 Days of Summer” and have an interesting hook that makes it easy to pitch. In other words, something “high-concept” with an original angle rather than just Regular Joe meets Regular Jane and they date. We are not looking for scripts that are too dark or with serious subject matter but it should still have strong characterization.
Budget will not exceed $500,000. Both WGA and Non-WGA writers may submit.

We are looking for completed feature-length romantic drama (in the vein of “Cairo Time” or “The Eclipse”) or rom-com scripts (ala “A Touch of Class”) for two actors in their 50s. The piece must be adaptable to a remote and isolated area, such as a hotel. We already have locations, so we are seeking a story that can easily be transported to a remote area and does not take place in too many locations or depend on the big city (such as a story set in New York). The script must already have two leads over the age of 50. We are open to adapted stageplays.

Budget is open. Both WGA and Non-WGA writers may submit.
