Theatre Company seeks 10-Minute plays for Radio Play series (Los Angeles)

Up and coming theatre company is seeking talented writers with interesting 10-minute plays that can be adapted for our monthly online radio play series. We will be launching the series in September, featuring one 10-minute play per month. At the end of one year, these plays will be eligible for inclusion in our inaugural Annual one-act play festival.

Askew Theatre Company recently presented a successful production of Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead. The company's primary mission, however, is to workshop and produce new and original plays from new and emerging playwrights in the Los Angeles area. We are a small company and we're looking to expand. Please read the following and please submit if you meet the qualifications.

About You:

*Must live in the Los Angeles area
*Must be a relatively new writer (not necessarily unpublished)
*Must be open to the workshop process of developing new plays (it is part of our mission to workshop new works)

About Your 10-Minute Play submission:
*Must be no longer than 15 minutes in length
*Display the 10-minute structure

We welcome plays that deal with the GLBT community, counter-culture, and topical issues of the day without being too aggressively political. All genres welcome (except musicals.)

Please do not submit your play just yet. Please submit info about your play, some info about yourself, and your interest in theatre in the Los Angeles area. We will provide more info about our theatre company and then we'll request your play once after that initial contact.
