CBS Films Picks Up Horror Script 'Hellfest'

"CBS Films has picked up 'Hellfest,' an original horror screenplay about a costumed killer.

Set in a theme park on Halloween night, the movie will center on a murderer's systematic slaughter of unsuspecting visitors, who think the killings are just part of the show.

First-time feature film writers William Penick and Chris Sey co-wrote the script. Gale Anne Hurd ('Aliens,' 'The Terminator') developed the project and will produce through her company Valhalla Entertainment.

Penick and Sey wrote the script from a concept by Valhalla creative executive Ben Roberts, who will serve as executive producer."
