As proof that the perennially-discussed Sin City 2 is more than a hollow promise, Oscar-winning writer William Monahan has been hired to help guide the idea towards the lens.
Monahan will rework the script draft recently handed in by Frank Miller, creator of the original comic book series, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
At this year's San Diego Comic-Con, Robert Rodriguez - who co-directed the first film with Miller - said he wanted to shoot the sequel this year and that the Sin City comics tale A Dame To Kill For would be one of three narrative threads woven into the film, later explaining that he wouldn't start casting until the screenplay was completed.
