Screenwriter Wanted to Work With Rob Hurtt

A screenwriter is sought to work with director Rob Hurtt on feature project 'Weir Inn Estate'. The style and content of the film owe as much to 'Dark Water', 'The Wicker Man', 'The Shining', 'Lost', 'Blair Witch', 'Jacob's Ladder', 'Psycho' and 'Carrie' as to the traditional '5 kids in a cabin' story-think 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre meets Twin Peaks...in the Forest of Dean!' Set in post 'credit crunch'/Tory Cuts England, it is a story of five students heading off for a country break, away from the stresses of the city. Fittingly, we are searching for a team that is inspired by the guerilla methods that George A Romero and his friends employed to make 'Night Of The Living Dead'. This is to be Hurtt's first feature, following a string of highly acclaimed short films and it is hoped that the Director/Writer relationship will continue over subsequent projects. A passion for classic horror and love of rock and roll is essential. Those who love Stephen King, Peter Straub and Neil Gaiman are encouraged to apply.
