InkTip: Scripts Wanted 570...

Samuel Benavides Options "Carnival"
Samuel Benavides with IsoFilms, Pictures & Productions, Inc. found "The Carnival Horror Show" through InkTip and optioned it from writer Jared Cohn. Samuel won the Best Director award at the Action on Film Festival for his short "Mansfield Path," which aired on Shorts TV, Sundance Channel and Flix Network. Jared wrote and directed the feature "Born Bad," which is currently airing on Lifetime. He also wrote the script "Traced," which landed him representation with manager Erik Heintz of HG Management.

Jerrol LeBaron Hires Jed Rigney
Jerrol LeBaron discovered writer/director Jed Rigney on InkTip, and knew he'd found the right person to help write and direct his documentary, "Fools on the Hill." "His was just the kind of smart writing I was looking for," says Jerrol, "and I knew he would include the right amount of shock, humor and information to make this a movie everyone would want to see." The film has completed production, and we just hosted a red carpet pre-release party at the Café Entourage the other week, with lots of media in attendance. Check out the trailer, or take a look at the press kit.

David Ara Hires Lynn Grant Beck
David Ara with Miracle Mile Entertainment discovered Lynn Grant Beck on InkTip and hired her to write his script "Hollywood Hit." David, with his producing partner Georgia Hilton of Hilton Media Management LLC, recently signed a distribution deal for "Hollywood Hit" with Freestyle Releasing (distributors of "The Illusionist" starring Edward Norton, Paul Giamatti, and Jessica Beil, among many others) based on the strength of the script alone. And we're now excited to announce that they're in the process of looking for an A-list director and talent to attach. Since signing with Freestyle, David and Georgia have upped their budget from $5 million to $20 million. Lynn Grant Beck, a published and produced author, playwright and screenwriter, was thrilled to be working with David, and we here at InkTip are really looking forward to seeing "Hollywood Hit" in theaters.

Greig Buckle Options "House of Darkness"
Greig Buckle with Enigma Pictures optioned "House of Darkness" from writer Marc Bloom after finding it on InkTip. Greig recently co-produced the South African feature "Life, Above All." Marc is a produced TV writer based out of South Africa, and this is his fourth option through InkTip. This script was also instrumental in landing Marc representation with current manager Damon Lane of Zero Gravity Management.

Samuel Laseke Options "Interrogation"
Samuel Laseke optioned and produced the short script "Interrogation," written by Zachary Jansen, which he found on InkTip. This is the second short sale through InkTip for Zachary. He previously sold "Treading Water" this spring. "Interrogation" was an Honorable Mention in the October 2010 MoviePoet.com short screenplay contest. Samuel Laseke was impressed with the script, and Zachary was equally impressed with Samuel's previous films. Samuel has optioned a number of shorts from the site after discovering the wealth of talented writers listed on InkTip.
