Competitive internship position available at fast growing motion picture company. You must be able to commit at least 10hrs a week and preferably enrolled in a university or college that will offer you school credit for this internship. The program lasts for 2 months.
Think of this as more of an apprenticeship, where you will work closely with the producers and directors with day to day office tasks, and also, when there is a shoot, you will be expected to be available to work on set. We will teach you the independent film business from the ground up, you will learn about everything that goes into getting a feature film completed. You will gets hands on training for scripting, editing, and shooting. You will also be given an opportunity to pitch your own short form content ideas to the producers to be possibly funded and made with the help of the prod. company. Basically, we're not just going to use you to get our coffee, we are actually going to train you and teach you a lot of things that you normally wouldn't learn in school, and you will also have the possibility to be hired on after your internship has ended for future paid projects.
The right candidate must possess a strong passion for filmmaking, and a willingness to learn. Experience with Final Cut Pro, shooting, and Photoshop is good, but not required.
