InkTip: Scripts Wanted 572...

Two more scripts were optioned and two more writers were hired through InkTip!

Marc Ambrose Options "Santa Hunters"
Marc Ambrose with Ambergreen Entertainment found "Santa Hunters" through InkTip and optioned it from Jamie Nash.  Ambergreen Entertainment is a production company formed by Marc Ambrose and Mike Greene. The company's credits include "San Saba," which was discovered through InkTip. Ambrose co-produced the star-studded, upcoming comedy "Movie 43" (Emma Stone, Gerard Butler, Hugh Jackman). Nash has written several produced features for Eduardo Sanchez ("Blair Witch"), so this is only his latest success through InkTip.

David DeCoteau Hires Barbara Kymlicka
David DeCoteau of Rapid Heart Pictures met Barbara Kymlicka on InkTip and hired her to write "Snow White: A Deadly Summer." The fairy-tale horror film will be their fourth produced feature together. DeCoteau is one of the busiest directors around, with three other features currently in post-production. Kymlicka is repped by Ben Silverman of Characters Talent Agency, whose literary clients include Evan Goldberg ("The Green Hornet," "50/50").

Charis Orchard Hires Chris Pentzell
Charis Orchard with Vivre Films found Chris Pentzell on InkTip and hired him to write a rom-com feature. Charis has produced and directed two independent features, "Will's Diaries" and "Art or Love." This is Pentzell's fourth success through InkTip. He recently starred in and helped provide additional material for the feature "Halloween Party."

Manuel Messerli Discovers "Pyro"
Manuel Messerli with Gasoline Man Pictures discovered writer David Byrne through InkTip and is now attached to direct his script "Pyro." Their collaborative relationship began when Manuel optioned another script from David. He then read a draft of "Pyro" and attached himself to the dark thriller project they describe as a mix between "The Machinist" and "Vertigo." Manuel is a Swiss director and alumni of AFI.

H. Craig Bass Options "Seekers"
H. Craig Bass with Year of the Phoenix Studios and Motion Source optioned L.C. Cruell's short script, "Seekers," after finding it on InkTip. UBK Studios will be producing the film. Brian Ernst, with UBK Studios, will be directing, and Craig will be the director of photography. "Seekers," a vampire, psychological thriller, is a Shriekfest winner.

At this time ONLY interested in writers who have placed in one of the following contests: PAGE, Austin, Slamdance, Scriptapalooza, Nicholl and Big Break. We are looking for completed feature-length limited-location, smart sci-fi scripts. By limited locations, we mean scripts set in 6 locations or less. We are looking for a script in the vein of “Moon,” “Source Code” or “Timecrimes,” which does not depend on spectacle or action sequences and is more dependent on a character’s crucial decisions (perhaps moral) and a gripping atmosphere/tone. We are not interested in campy sci-fi or creature features.  Just as in “Timecrimes,” the setting does not have to be set in space or in the future; the story just needs to involve scientific themes, technological breakthroughs, or alternate reality ideas.
Budget will not exceed $2 million. Both WGA and Non-WGA writers may submit.

We are looking for completed feature-length crime scripts. We are interested in crime scripts that are different from the generic norm.   In other words, we like scripts in the vein of “Frequency” (Dennis Quaid) and “The Usual Suspects” that gravitate towards character-driven suspense and not action sequences. We are not looking for a script like “Smokin’ Aces” that rely more on action/thriller shootouts. Also, we are not looking for stories set in international locations that cannot be replicated in North America.   We are not interested in true crime stories without life rights.
Budget will not exceed $1 million. Both WGA and Non-WGA writers may submit.
