MENTOR INSTITUTE OF THE ARTS (M.I.A STUDIO'S) is seeking talent as candidates for admission to our upcoming Mentor Series. In our mentoring programs, selected actors are provided direct access and visibility to working TV and film directors; as well as other workshops to be announced with the hope of developing lasting and productive relationships.
This series of mentoring is under the watchful eyes of film directors Dan Ireland, Martin Donovan, Dan Castle, Francesca Ursone of The Moscow Arts and actress Cindy Pickett (known for launching once-unknowns such as Jessica Chastain (Who in on her way as being one of the hottest actresses in the world and who has about 8 more pictures to be released), Thomas Jane, Renée Zellweger, Rupert Friend, Emmy Rossum, Xavier Samuel and Colin Firth into worldwide visibility. More very qualified instructors will be coming aboard with MENTOR STAR STUDIOS at various times to teach various classes due to their schedules allowing it.
Dan Ireland and Martin Donovan are known for working with: Robert Zemeckis, Craig Zadan, Ken Russell, Michael Eisner, Meryl Streep, Mark Wahlberg, Goldie Hawn, Bruce Willis, Colin Firth, Brad Pitt, Drew Barrymore, Christopher Reeve, Viggo Mortensen, Theresa Russell, Faye Dunaway, Danny Huston, Harry Connick Jr., Salma Hayek, Dermot Mulroney and many others.
Cindy Pickett is an American actress best known for her 1970s role as Jackie Marler-Spaulding on the CBS soap Guiding Light; her role as Dr. Carol Novino on the hugely popular television drama St. Elsewhere in the 1980s; for her critically acclaimed performance as the real-life Kay Stayner, the mother of a boy who was kidnapped for several years, in the dramatic TV movie I Know My First Name Is Steven; and for her cinematic roles and performances as Valerie St. John in Roger Vadim's little-known 1980 erotic cult film, Night Games, for which she would have the leading role, and as the tough-as-nails and heroic Dr. Jane Norris in the 1989 sci-fi-horror film DeepStar Six. Pickett, however, is handily best known to audiences for her highly memorable turn as Katie Bueller, Matthew Broderick's titular character's loving and unsuspecting mother, in the 1986 classic and iconic American comedy movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
M.I.A STUDIOS has had actors cast for film and television right here in the studio while taking session. It is not uncommon for a movie or TV producer or director to come into our office and cast students or offer them auditions right there on the spot. We also have actors and directors and casting directors and others coming and going from the office so you never know who you are going to run into here.
But it just keeps getting better. How many talent agencies do you know of that are directly connected to television and motion picture production?
MENTOR INSTITUTE OF THE ARTS is directly linked to major TV and motion picture studios and will be making recommendations for casting while also holding casting calls here in the office. We are also going to be trying to create and then launch our own stars! Your success is our success and our success is your success!
We also have teamed up with David Vincent is a Voice Actor / Television Producer based in Los Angeles, California. He has lent his voice to a variety of Anime and Video Game titles, as well as numerous Commercials for Television and Radio.
Some of his best known Anime credits as currently seen on ADULT SWIM include, GRIMMJOW Jeagerjaques in BLEACH and CODE GEASS as Li Xingke. Other Anime credits are Van in GUN X SWORD, Seiji in DURARARA!, Kekkaishi as Sakon, Chester Barklight in Tales of Phantasia, Assassin in Fate/Stay Night, General Logi in Blue Dragon, and Giichi in Blade of The Immortal. David was nominated "Best Voice Actor in an Anime" by the American Anime Awards for his work in * GUN x SWORD.
Some of his more recent Video Game credits include Raymond Vester in RESIDENT EVIL: REVELATIONS, Marshall Law in the hit video game franchise TEKKEN 6, and the recently released TEKKEN Vs. STREET FIGHTER, Jin Kisaragi & Hakumen in the popular fighting series BLAZBLUE, Final Fantasy: The Crystal Bearers as Keiss, STREET FIGHTER IV as T-Hawk, MEDAL Of HONOR as Morgan, The Last Remnant as Blocter, Infinite Undiscovery as Edward, and Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles as Richter,Tales of Graces f and many more to be released this year.
In addition to voice acting David has also appeared in front of the camera in Guest and Co-starring roles on Prime Time Television shows NCIS, Criminal Minds and The Nine among others.
The upcoming 2012 guest-mentoring programs are filling seats fast, so if you wish to be a part of this great opportunity do yourself a favor and try and reserve a seat before classes are filled. We cannot guarantee that there will be any available seating left as it is first come first serve.
