We are looking for completed feature-length kick-ass action scripts featuring a female lead character, i.e. something in the vein of “Kick Ass,” “Sucker Punch,” or “Kill Bill.” No cop stories, no female detective, no law enforcement stories. We are looking for completed feature-length high-brow, intelligent, contemporary, comedy scripts that can be easily adapted to a setting in Sweden. By this, we mean a script that is set in the present day and its humor does not depend on cultural references or a specific setting. By high-brow and intelligent, we mean a script like “The Big Lebowski” and NOT low-brow, frat humor or slapstick. The script must NOT be multi-linear and should focus on a few characters (no ensemble comedies). The script should still have commercial sense and not be arthouse.

Budget will not exceed $16 million. Both WGA and Non-WGA writers may submit.

Submissions need to be for material that is contemporary as well, since we’re building a slate of low budget projects with which to establish our new company.

We are looking for completed feature-length contained horror scripts that can be filmed in less than four locations and that have a unique premise or execution. Examples of horror films that have (or had at the time) these original qualities would be “High Tension,” “The Descent,” “Saw,” “The Ring,” or the upcoming film “Silent House.” In other words, scripts that have a less familiar aspect to the story’s setting, premise, villain, or execution (“Silent House”).
Budget will not exceed $500,000. Both WGA and Non-WGA writers may submit.

We are looking for completed feature-length scripts that portray stories and/or characters about Chinese culture and/or that are set in China or scripts with an identifiable rewrite potential set in China in the following genres: action/adventure, thriller or sci-fi. Successful scripts will be produced in the People’s Republic of China and will be vetted by the government. Thus, the script should not be anti-government or contain explicit sexuality. If the script is not currently set in China, an identifiable rewrite would mean that not only should the script pass censorship but it should not depend on other cultural landmarks and settings and should not be wholly focused on dynamics that would be foreign to China (scripts that focus on sibling rivalry, American patriotism etc.). Scripts already translated into Mandarin or pre-approved material will be given very high priority, so please mention if this is the case when submitting.
Budget is open. Both WGA and Non-WGA writers may submit.

We are looking for completed 30 or 60 minute drama scripts featuring female perspectives on the 9/11 experience. Ideally we’d like to find material featuring vignettes or narratives from multiple female characters of different ages and ethnicities. Note that we don’t need submissions to perfectly fit these criteria, as we are open to scripts that can be adapted, re-written or shortened, and we are open to hiring a writer if we find the right writing sample and style as well. This will be for a television special, so please do not submit any material which would not be suitable for a television audience.
This will be done on a small, indie budget. WG and Non-WG writers may submit.

We are looking for completed feature-length character-driven sci-fi samples for a possible writer-for-hire opportunity. We are seeking writers with scripts that have the sensibility of films like “Pan’s Labyrinth,” “Inception” and “Children of Men,” i.e. writers who have the ability to create new worlds and establish a very strong sense of atmosphere without neglecting a strong throughline for the main character. This will be primarily for rewrites on existing scripts and establishing relationships with writers for future projects. Thus, it is important to mention any rewrite experience that may apply. In your sample scripts, we should have a strong emotional connection to a character whose world is falling apart. Please provide a synopsis and resume with your submission. If your pitch interests us, we will request the complete sample script for further consideration.
Budget is open. Non-WGA writers only may submit.
