Giant Eel Productions is a new Michigan-based independent production company focused on innovating the 3D production model. Our company is currently seeking screenplays, treatments and production concepts in a range of genres to produce in “reduced 3D” which emphasizes narrative development and visual texture over spectacle.
We’re most interested in screenwriting in the following categories: television pilots, narrative shorts, feature scripts and ultra-short webvision series. Please, no animation.
What we look for in screenwriting: visual juxtaposition concepts, local location-based plots, clever dialogue, gratuitous violence, mythical symbolism, dark humor, rhythm/repetition, the personification of abstract ideas, poetic narration, perverse sexuality (no pornographic concepts), surrealism, ultra-specific detailed descriptions and narratives which explore the perspectives of marginalized individuals or communities.
Giant Eel Productions will either buy scripts outright for a modest sum or negotiate a commission relationship contingent on distribution. If you would prefer a specific transactional relationship, please include that preference with your script. Please send physical copies of scripts to:
