Popcorn seller wins Hollyood film deal

Sci-fi fan Stuart Gallop, 31, has spent the past ten years writing a science fiction thriller in his spare time with the unlikely hope of joining LA's entertainment elite.

He later focused all his effort on the script after being made redundant - with the hard work paying off in the form of a huge investment from America to take the script to the silver screen.

His thriller, 'In War They Come', is about aliens who use humanity's wars to abduct soldiers and conduct experiments on them.

It is a giant step from 13 years ago when the teenage Stuart would make ends meet by working at his local cinema in Cribbs Causeway, Bristol.

The film fan sold popcorn and swept out the cinemas in-between screenings as an usher, watching movies on his days off and before shifts.
