Dear Michael,
--------- We are pleased to announce that two more scripts were optioned and two more writers were discovered through InkTip! Kevan Otto Options "A Bridge to Cross" Producer Kevan Otto discovered “A Bridge to Cross” on InkTip and optioned it from writers Jim D. Brown and C. Douglass Cloud. Otto specializes in family films, and his credits include "Lukewarm," starring John Schneider and Bill Cobbs, which was also found on InkTip. Jim Brown’s “A Bridge to Cross” is a faith based story about a preacher and former major league baseball player who discovers his son’s little league coach is the same guy who put an end to his career by intentionally injuring him years before. This is Jim’s third option through InkTip. Andrea Olabarria Hires Jonathan Brainard Andrea Olabarria with Spoon Entertainment discovered Jonathan Brainard through InkTip and hired him to develop a reality series. Based in Florida, Andrea directed the 2009 feature "Rough Winds." Jonathan has won two major contests for his original reality project. Sammy Montana Discovers JR Reher Sammy Montana with Anarchy Management signed JR Reher after discovering him through InkTip. JR is an established writer whose first spec sale resulted in the feature film "Red Machine," which is in production now starring James Marsden and Billy Bob Thornton and helmed by David Hackl. JR is repped by APA, but was looking for a lit manager when he connected with Sammy, and this is his first success through InkTip. Bruce Nahin Options "Max Speed" Bruce Nahin with Paramount-based Continuum Pictures discovered "Max Speed" through InkTip and optioned it from writers Christopher and Gregory Parker. "Max Speed," a faith-driven NASCAR script, is slated for production later this year with an eventual theatrical release in the works. This is Parker's first option through InkTip. Youngs & Wagner Hire Allison McWood Bradford Youngs and Lloyd Wagner with Twilight Entertainment met Allison McWood through InkTip and hired her to write his short film project “Through the Eyes of Blind.” The story is built around a day in the life of a blind woman, leading up to a hit and run accident in traffic, and will be told through her ears first, and then through the eyes of a witness. In other news, Brad and Lloyd optioned their feature script “A Blind Eye” to Richard Gabai, who recently completed “180” starring Lacey Chabert and Paul Sorvino, and which was also shot from an InkTip script. This is McWood’s third success through InkTip. Hundreds of writers have sold/optioned their screenplays by having their scripts on InkTip.com. Go here to list your scripts. Thanks! - Your Friendly Neighborhood InkTippers --------------- 1) Sarke - Seeking Scripts With Only Two Main Characters --------------- We are looking for completed feature-length scripts that feature only two main cast members and few (if any) extras. We prefer horror or thriller submissions, but we are open to any genre as long as there are no more than two main characters in the story. Budget will not exceed $1 million. WGA and non-WGA writers may submit. Our credits include “247º”, which was written by a writer we met through InkTip. To submit to this lead, please go to: http://www.inktippro.com/leads/ Enter your email address. Copy/Paste this code: jkv8nucstd NOTE: Please only submit your work if it fits what the lead is looking for exactly. If you aren't sure if your script fits, please ask InkTip first. --------------- 2) Cinemonger – Seeking Low-Budget, Mindbending, Indie Sensibility Screenplays --------------- We are looking for completed feature-length low-budget psychological suspense/thriller/mystery/drama scripts – trippy, mindbending scripts – with reality shifts, mental instability, ticking clock mechanisms. In other words, scripts in the vein of “Donnie Darko,” “Birth,” “Martha Marcy May Marlene,” “Tell No One,” etc. Sometimes disturbing, with a foreboding atmosphere of suspense, danger and that the world is not as it seems. We are NOT interested in straight-up horror scripts, action/thrillers or crime scripts without the story elements mentioned above. In other words, though we like the film “Se7en;” it would not fit the above criteria since it is an edgy, dark mainstream crime film but without the sort of mindbending elements. We are not interested in “traditional” detective or Lifetime- types of thrillers unless they contain the fears, paranoia and story devices of the titles mentioned above. The story can contain metaphysical concerns (such as in “Donnie Darko,”), but the scale should not be of “The Matrix,” since this is a lower-budget film. Please look at the above titles to get an indication of the sensibility and taste. Budget will not exceed $1 million. Both WGA and Non-WGA writers may submit. Our credits include "Roshambo Apocalypse." To submit to this lead, please go to: http://www.inktippro.com/leads/ Enter your email address. Below are more companies seeking scripts, which are available in this week’s Preferred Newsletter (without contact information/credits). To receive the information, the cost is $50 for a four-month subscription (half price if you have a script on the site!). For more information about the Preferred Newsletter go here: www.InkTip.com/pnews.php. ** Company A ** We are looking for completed feature-length high-concept scripts that are appropriate for PG audiences from optioned writers. The characters, in particular the principal character, should be interesting, with qualities and issues that a younger audience can relate to. In other words, we like scripts in the vein of “Night at the Museum” or “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.” The content should not be too violent or intense (no PG-13 “Bourne Identity” violence) or deal heavily with adult issues, politics, etc. High-concept means that it can be pitched in a short sentence (strong hook, character's objective). Please include the options or produced credits in the resume space provided or your pitch will not be considered. Budget is open but high. Both WGA and Non-WGA writers may submit. For more information on gaining access to this lead, please see www.InkTip.com/pnews.php. ** Company B ** We are looking for completed feature-length sci-fi scripts with highly original concepts and compelling characters. When pitching, please make sure you’re able to pitch the hook for your story in one sentence or less. Budget is open. WGA and non-WGA writers may submit. For more information on gaining access to this lead, please see www.InkTip.com/pnews.php. ** Company C ** We are looking for completed feature-length realistic or reality-based (non-supernatural) thriller/mystery scripts, i.e. material in the vein of “Last House on the Left” or “The Strangers.” Submissions must be for contemporary material, and should be gritty, dark, and character driven. Please also note, we prefer material with female leads, few characters, and some violence and sex. Budget will not exceed $3 million. WGA and non-WGA writers may submit. For more information on gaining access to this lead, please see www.InkTip.com/pnews.php. ** Company D ** We are looking for completed feature-length contemporary, female-driven romance scripts. The female lead must be aged 20-40. By romance, we mean scripts such as “The Notebook” that emphasize love over comedy hijinks. This will be intended for television, so it must not be too offbeat or have any content that cannot be toned down (excessive violence, sex, nudity, etc.). We are not open to submissions that do not currently have the female role between the ages of 20 and 40. Contemporary, present-day set scripts only. Budget will not exceed $1 million. Both WGA and Non-WGA writers may submit. For more information on gaining access to this lead, please see www.InkTip.com/pnews.php. ** Company E ** We are looking for completed feature-length uplifting scripts. In other words, scripts that reassure life-affirming values and messages such as "Bella," "The Family Man" and "The Blind Side." Budget will not exceed $500,000. Both WGA and Non-WGA writers may submit. For more information on gaining access to this lead, please see www.InkTip.com/pnews.php. ** Company F ** We are looking for registered reality TV pitches. We really prefer pitches that already have elements attached, which is to say we’d like to know that a real team of celebrity hairstylists is on board if you’re pitching a series about celebrity hairstylists. Please note we are not looking for mere loglines or ideas, material submitted must be in treatment format and must be registered with the WGA. Budget is open. WGA and non-WGA writers may submit. For more information on gaining access to this lead, please see www.InkTip.com/pnews.php. ** Company G ** We are looking for completed feature-length character-driven dramedy scripts, i.e. material in the vein of “Juno” or “The Descendants.” Strong elements of satire are especially appreciated. Submissions should be for contemporary, low-budget stories. Budget has yet to be determined. Only non-WGA writers may submit at this point in time. For more information on gaining access to this lead, please see www.InkTip.com/pnews.php. --------------- 4) Sell Your Screenplays --------------- InkTip has gotten hundreds of screenplays sold or optioned which has resulted in more than 140 feature films being made.
